Before anyone gets any ideas that this article is going to include a DeLorean that can double as a time machine, I can tell you that the answer is no. I did not rely upon Marty McFly or Dr. Emmett Brown for going back in time, but I am going to use the example illustrated in the “Back To The Future” movie series to…
Last week, the NFL Draft saw seven Ohio State Buckeyes selected. Congratulations to all of those young men, and sincere best wishes to all of them as they pursue their dreams of a career in professional football. A popular Tweet that has been making the rounds on social media has discussed how the 2014 Ohio State…
Congratulations to Denzel Ward and Billy Price on earning first-round draft selections in the 2018 NFL Draft. Both were well-deserved, and Ohio State fans who root for the Browns and Bengals who had grown numb to watching their favorite NFL team bypass Buckeyes can rejoice in the day one selections. Tom Orr…
It may be a completely different topic, but the title of the documentary could be applied to the pending decision by Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and his coaching staff on who will be the starting quarterback for the 2018 season. More on that momentarily. Throughout the spring practices, I ranked position…
Born and raised in Upper Arlington, “The Golden Bear” is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University. Arguably the greatest golfer in history, Nicklaus won 18 career major golf championships. It is with Jack Nicklaus’ quote in mind that I direct my focus upon the last position group to review during spring football…
Ohio State’s linebackers did seem to play better later in the season. That was after Chris Worley was moved back to his more natural outside linebacker spot while Tuf Borland took over the middle linebacker role. Now, the three linebackers who finished the 2017 season are not around, with Worley and Jerome Baker off to…
Robert Lawrence Stine, better known in literary circles as R.L. Stine, is a native Ohioan from Columbus, and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. While Stine is a novelist with a focus on children’s literature, one might apply the quote above as we move onto the next position group to review, the 2018 Ohio State defensive backs.
“The Wizard Of Menlo Park”, Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio, and is considered to be America’s greatest inventor. For all of Edison’s achievements as an inventor, perhaps Edison’s greatest attribute was his refusal to give up. Edison’s perspective was that he never failed during his experiments, but that he had…
Why did I rank the wide receivers as an area of low concern? Look at the group of players returning. They are bundant with redshirt seniors and juniors. The wide receivers come into 2018 with experience across the board. Looking at Ohio State’s 2017 season statistics, the only player with at least 10 receptions who will…
Why did I rank the running backs as an area of low concern? In a theme similar to the previous position group ranking for defensive line, the returning talent and depth at the running back position group makes me comfortable going into the 2018 season. Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and running backs coach Tony…
