Ohio State came away with a 71-56 win over Indiana Tuesday night, shooting 55.8% from the field for the game in a fairly impressive shooting performance. The Buckeyes had 13 assists on their 29 made field goals, but the passing could have been much crisper. Indiana deflected a number of passes during the game, disrupting what…
Growing up in the 1980s and then really paying attention in the 1990s, Ohio State’s main basketball rival from my vantage point was always the Indiana Hoosiers. In high school, there was nothing better than watching Calbert Cheaney against Jimmy Jackson, and there was nothing bigger in college basketball.

Buckeye fans have watched the Ohio State basketball teams for the last few years with increasing levels of frustration flowing through their veins. Lack of effort and foolish play were two of the hallmarks of the recent past. Those hallmarks are now long gone. The graduation of Marc Loving and the departure of Jaquan Lyle may have cost…
The Chris Holtmann Era is underway at Ohio State and so far the Buckeyes are surpassing initial expectations. Most recently, the Buckeyes shocked the nation with their 80-64 upset win over No. 1 Michigan State. Arguably the best player on the court that game was fourth-year junior forward Keita Bates-Diop, who recorded a…
Michigan State has a 6-foot-11 freshman forward named Jaren Jackson who can put the ball on the floor or shoot threes off the catch or the dribble, and he may not even be the most tantalizing draft prospect on the team. That honor could go to 6-foot-7 sophomore small forward Miles Bridges, who decided to forego the NBA draft…
