Buckeye Legend Howard ‘Hopalong’ Cassady Passes Away at 85
Buckeye Nation has lost a legend, as Howard ‘Hopalong’ Cassady has passed away at the age of 85 according to his family. Cassady played halfback and defensive back for the Buckeyes from 1952 to 1955, winning the Heisman Trophy as a senior. He rushed for 2,466 yards in his career, which is still good for 19th all-time in school history.
