The Ohio State defensive line comes into 2017 with more expectations than they can possibly meet. Don’t expect Larry Johnson to attempt to calm those expectations, however. In fact, his job is to exceed them. The players themselves have the goal of being the best defensive line in Ohio State history, but Johnson would probably…
Ohio State will be led by a record number of captains in 2017 with nine players selected to lead the Scarlet and Gray on and off the gridiron. The corps of leaders, all voted on by their teammates, features five on defense, including four defensive linemen, and four on offense, led by the first three-time captain in program history.
The Buckeyes kicked off fall practice on Thursday and in so doing they also kicked off a brand new drill for the defensive linemen.Enter the beach, boys. It’s actually not a beach, as there is no body of water nearby. Instead, it is just a sandpit near the Ohio State practice fields that was once used for drills, but is now used to keep…

The current record is five, and it probably won’t surprise you to find out that it was set by Miami in 2003. That’s right, the Hurricanes team that Ohio State beat for the 2002 National Title sent five…
You can’t really take a walk down the internet without running into an NFL mock draft these days. And you almost can’t be a Buckeye without eventually having your name mentioned inside one of those drafts. Even though we’ve just hit our second week of summer, the mock draft season is year round. With that…
“I feel like that’s a future first rounder, top-10 pick in my eyes,” he said of Barrow. “Once he starts believing that on a consistent basis, nobody can block him. That’s a strong statement. That’s a strong statement. I’m dead serious. When he is a first round pick, you all come call me because I said it first.”
