Buckeyes’ Unpredictable Passing Attack Could Give TCU Trouble

Ohio State Football Notebook: ‘Mom’s home cooking just falling in your lap’
Sophomore defensive end Chase Young committed two unsportsmanlike penalties on Saturday. The initial 15-yarder came following Young’s first sack of the season. Young thought he had a forced fumble, which he also recovered, and subsequently spiked the football with a little too much emphasis, drawing the flag.

Football Captains Speak with the Media on Tuesday (Videos)
The subject matter was limited, but we got to speak with redshirt sophomore middle linebacker Tuf Borland, fifth-year senior receivers Terry McLaurin, Johnnie Dixon, and Parris Campbell, junior defensive end Nick Bosa, junior free safety Jordan Fuller, and senior right tackle Isaiah Prince. Check out our videos of each of the interviews below.

Buckeyes Name Seven Captains For 2018 Season
The 2018 Ohio State football team will be without its head coach for the first three games, but it should still have plenty of leadership in the locker room. The Buckeyes voted seven players captains, including two who will serve in the role for the second time. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Parris Campbell are the returning captains. A third wide receiver, Johnnie Dixon, and offensive tackle Isaiah Prince are the other captains on the offensive side of the ball…

Ranking Ohio State’s Playmakers on Offense: No. 6 — Johnnie Dixon
The No. 6 player on this list almost gave up the game after the 2016 season, but returned last year to provide a spark to the Ohio State offense. This year, that spark could turn into something much greater. Johnnie Dixon enrolled early in 2014 and shined during the spring. It wasn’t long into his freshman season, however, when…

Parris Campbell Excited for Rest of Johnnie Dixon’s Story
There will be many stories told regarding this season’s edition of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and one of them began over a year ago. Following the 2016 season — another essentially lost to injury — OSU wide receiver Johnnie Dixon was at a crossroads. He was thinking about giving up the game, and giving up the final two…

Pre-Fall Statistical Projection: Ohio State Pass Catchers
Coming into this season, I was a little worried how the Ohio State wide receiver room would shake out. I thought for sure Parris Campbell and Johnnie Dixon were gone to the NFL draft. Along with them, I would not have been shocked if K.J. Hill and Terry McLaurin left as well. You add these four guys to the loss of tight…

Five for Friday: Predicting OSU’s Leading TD Scorers | Ohio State Football
We are now embarking on a new era in Ohio State football. One where a Buckeye quarterback isn’t necessarily the first option inside the 10-yard line. Maybe. With J.T. Barrett’s departure, I got to thinking about what this was going to mean for touchdown production in 2018. We all know that Dwayne Haskins won’t…

Ohio State Spring Recap — Buckeyes Now Deeper at Receiver
The Buckeyes return 209 of their 212 receptions by wide receivers from last season, which gives you a pretty good idea of the depth that Ohio State has at the position. Even with this much experience returning, however, there are still question marks. The Buckeyes may have had twice as many 50-yard completions (8) as…

Justin Hilliard Enjoying Health, Appreciating Opportunity
Justin Hilliard came to Ohio State from Cincinnati St. Xavier and he brought along with him hefty expectations. As a 5-star prospect, Hilliard was supposed to fall right into the lineage of Buckeye linebacker greats. Injuries knocked him clear of that path pretty early on, however. Multiple biceps injuries over the years…
