COLUMBUS — It has been a hectic seven days for new Ohio State men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann. On Tuesday morning, he was contacted for the first time by Ohio State, where OSU officially offered him the position. Since then his world has been a blur.
After some back and forth, he met with Gene Smith in Dayton and accepted an eight-year deal. On Friday, he finally met the team briefly.
On Saturday, Holtmann spent his day on the phone, with former players and recruits.
From the time he was eligible to begin recruiting, he was doing so within the hour. On Sunday, he finally made it back to Columbus.
It has been quite the week for the newest Buckeye. He explains what his last seven days have been like, and a whole lot more throughout his introductory press conference.
