Jallow was a 2018 prospect until recently. He has reclassified to the 2017 class. As a 2017 prospect he will be eligible to play this coming season for the Buckeyes.
Jallow is ranked the No. 21 small forward in the nation by 247Sports, and the No. 65 player in the 2017 class overall. He is listed as the No. 120 player in the nation per the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Ohio State over offers from Virginia, Butler, Purdue, Northwestern, Stanford, and Indiana. Though the Hoosiers’ interest has reportedly waned since new head coach Archie Miller took over.
“I’m definitely going to be a guard, interchange between the 1,2, or 3,” Jallow told NY2LASports.com about his future at Ohio State. “I’m going to be very versatile. Be able to jump up and grab a board, go coast-to-coast, and make plays for my teammates. Put myself and my teammates into great positions to score. Also lock up defensively and be aggressive on that end.”
As a player, Jallow is athletic enough to finish above the rim while driving. He has a nice release with deep range. There isn’t a need for much room to get his shot off. He handles the ball well and keeps his eyes open for teammates. His highlights show a very aggressive help defender and a frequent shot-blocker.
The impact on the Buckeyes next season could be huge. Jallow gives Ohio State a third true guard to go along with Kam Williams and C.J. Jackson. In fact, with Williams working on his point guard skills during the offseason, Jallow could even allow Chris Holtmann to bring Jackson in off the bench next season and run Williams at the point and Jallow at shooting guard.
Currently, the Buckeyes now have 10 players on scholarship.
The lineup looks like this:
PG C.J. Jackson, Jr.
SG Kam Williams, Sr.
SG Musa Jallow, Fr.
G Joey Lane, Jr.
SF Andre Wesson, So.
SF Kyle Young, Fr.
F Jae’Sean Tate, Sr.
F Keita Bates-Diop, Jr.
C Kaleb Wesson, Fr.
C Micah Potter, So.
Ohio State is still awaiting word from Eric Ayala, who is also 2018 guard who could be reclassifying to 2017. He is planning to decide on his future in August.

So, it’s true that…there’s always room for Jallow?
Even if you have to oversign.
