He currently also holds offers from Pitt, Rutgers, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and Toledo.
Hooker is rated a 3-star prospect and the No. 52 cornerback in the nation per the 247Sports Composite. He plays for the same New Castle High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania that produced his brother Malik.
Like his brother, Marcus is also a talented basketball player. He helped his team to a WPIAL title this past season, just as Malik did a few years back.
“He’s not the biggest kid in the world. He’s not the fastest,” New Castle head coach Joe Cowart told TribLive.com back in the spring. “He’s just a really good ball player, and he’s been that way since he stepped on the high school football field.”
Hooker has played safety and linebacker in high school and would likely project to safety in college. He has worked on getting faster, and apparently that work has helped to land him an Ohio State offer.
Ohio State has done very well with brothers under Urban Meyer, and the Hooker brothers could certainly add to that history down the road.

I don’t care if he is a zero-star with these coaches ability to evaluate talent….
