It’s one of the best things about college football and social media — programs sharing the moment when walk-ons receive scholarships.
Following Saturday’s scrimmage, a pair of Ohio State walk-ons were given the good news and the OSU cameras were rolling.
Doesn't get much better than this. Congratulations to @WorkHardSleepEz for earning a well-deserved scholarship!#GoBucks pic.twitter.com/a3Yu5ZqWoz

Elijaah Goins is one of the fastest players on the Ohio State squad, which may be one reason why he was moved from the secondary to receiver in the spring. As Urban Meyer noted in the video, he is also a very key cog in kickoff coverage. Goins is a senior from Concord, North Carolina.
Senior linebacker Zach Turnure was the second walk-on awarded a scholarship today. He played in 12 games last season in a reserve role and on special teams. He wears No. 36, which is a very special number in OSU linebacker lore.
Turnure is from St. Louis, Missouri and he originally came to Ohio State to play lacrosse. He walked on to the football team in 2014.
Good Story!!
Doesn’t get any better!
