Buckeyes Open as 7-Point Favorites Over Penn State

J.T. Barrett Ohio State Football Buckeyes has release their line for next Saturday’s matchup between Penn State and Ohio State in Columbus, and the Buckeyes have been installed as a 7-point favorite according to the betting site.

The Nittany Lions are coming off of a dominating 42-13 win at home last night against Michigan. Ohio State, meanwhile, had the week off to recharge and prepare for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions will likely be bringing in their No. 2 ranking as well. ESPN’s GameDay will be on hand as well.

Ohio State was favored by 19 points last year at Penn State. The Nittany Lions pulled off the 24-21 upset in Happy Valley.

This is the first time the Buckeyes haven’t been double-digit favorites against Penn State since they were a pick’em against PSU in 2012. Ohio State won that game 35-23.

  1. One of the big factors is an extra week to heal and prepare. Bigger than home field advantage.

  2. Looks like the weather is going to be a difference maker in this one. Possible snow in the morning and not out of the 40s. Makes stopping the run more necessary.

  3. How do they figure OSU with a 7 point favorite after their decisive victory over TTUN last Saturday! If OSU is figured as a favorite it should be no more that a 1 point favorite or at most a 3 point favorite like last year at the White Den! In fact, I would almost make them at least a 3 point favorite considering how they are playing this year especially at this point in the season. But I sure hope the Buckeyes will be ready and stay injury free for that game this Saturday! GO BUCKS!!

  4. obviously you guys don’t understand football. Ohio State wins handily in a blowout. Davewr 58, keep in mind Michigan is garbage and psu’s win over them is worthless. oo State clears the table on their way to another NC

  5. 7 pt. favorite? Did these guys watch Penn State demolish Michigan? I think PS should be favored by 7.

  6. Are these before or AFTER referee consideration is factored in?
