Bri’onte Dunn, a former Ohio State running back, was arrested and charged with rape and kidnapping on Wednesday, per WBNS-10TV.
Per court documents, Dunn, 24, called the victim in the early-morning hours of August 20 and asked her to come and pick him up. She took him back to her home and she went to bed. Soon after, Dunn got into the victim’s bed and sexually assaulted her and raped her.
Dunn played for the Buckeyes from 2012-2015, but was dismissed prior to the 2016 season following allegations of repeatedly punching a woman. At the time, his dismissal was termed as being due to a violation of team rules.
He was currently on probation following a no contest plea to the misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the 2016 incident.
In 2012, Dunn was stopped by police while driving his mother’s car. Marijuana and a marijuana pipe were found in the car.
He did not face drug charges from the incident.
