The Buckeyes came up short on bonus points as the #1 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions took them down 19-18 Saturday night at Rec Hall in University Park, Pennsylvania.

Ohio St. totally should’ve had this, esp with Nolf out for PSU…Moore’s loss is what changed this–along with Martin giving up back points with only a couple of seconds left..those few points in the final 3 seconds made it a major win for Nickal and PSU, giving PSU 4 team points instead of 3..that’s how tight and close this match was…can’t get any more intense..but the Buckeyes shoulda’ve had this. time to go beat scUM next week and get ready for conferences and nationals..go Bucks!!!…..and would be nice to see an article on the wrestling too Ozone!

  2. Although I’m certainly not a wrestling purist, this meet was fascinating and intense. I thought it was decided at 197 when OSU’s wrestler, ranked 1 in the country as I recall, lost outright. It looked like 2 teams as closely matched as possible to me. OSU gets at least one more shot at them, maybe 2. Those are the 2 best teams in the country.
