Five-star Belleville, Michigan offensive lineman Devontae Dobbs tweeted out his Top 8 Friday night. Ohio State made the cut, along with Michigan State, USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Clemson, Florida State, and Auburn. Conspicuous by their absence is the University of Michigan.
I am truly blessed to be put in this position. I want to thank all of the coaches that offered me a full scholarship. However, at this time I will be focusing on the 8 schools listed below. pic.twitter.com/ufgBJWXRTw

Dobbs (6-4 270) is the No. 10 player in the 2019 recruiting class per the 247Sports Composite and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation.
This spring, Dobbs visited Penn State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan State, Arizona State, and USC unofficially. He has official visits scheduled to Auburn and USC next month.
Dobbs did visit Ohio State last summer for Friday Night Lights, as well as for the 2017 OSU spring game. According to the timeline on 247Sports, Dobbs hasn’t visited Michigan since 2016.
Dobbs was a First-Team All-State selection as a junior.
Michigan State is seen as the favorite for Dobbs. They currently own 85% of the 13 crystal ball predictions on 247Sports.
Ohio State has two offensive linemen committed in the 2019 recruiting class. Huntington, West Virginia lineman Doug Nester was the first committment of the 2019 class. He is the No. 9 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 57 player overall. He has been committed since August.
Mentor offensive lineman Ryan Jacoby joined Ohio State’s class this past March. He is rated the No. 30 offensive tackle and the No. 282 player in the nation.
The Buckeyes are also heavily involved with another West Virginia prospect in Huntington’s Darnell Wright, who is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 3 overall prospect. Rhode Island’s Xavier Truss (No. 14 OT) and Illinois prospect Trevor Keegan (No. 15 OT) are also looking hard at Ohio State.
One of the most intriguing offensive line prospects in the Midwest right now is Dayton Dunbar’s Jonathan Allen, who was offered by Urban Meyer earlier in the month. He also holds offers from Michigan State and Michigan. Ohio State is seen as the favorite here for the 3-star prospect.
The Buckeyes are also believed to be the favorites for Buford, Georgia center Harry Miller, who is ranked the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 36 player overall. All 14 crystal ball projections are pointing at OSU.
This is expected to be a large offensive line class for the Buckeyes, so they are far from done in this cycle.
