Four-star St. Louis (Cardinal Ritter College Prep) wide receiver Jameson Williams released his Top 5 on Thursday and included Ohio State in his latest cut down. Joining the Buckeyes were Nebraska, Alabama, UCLA, and Oregon. Williams previously released a Top 8 in March, but has since dropped Oklahoma State, Florida State, and USC from his sights.

Williams (6-2 171) is the No. 26 wide receiver in the nation per the 247Sports Composite and the No. 146 player in the 2019 class overall.
He will be participating in The Opening finals later this month in Dallas.
Williams took a west coast swing this spring, visiting Oregon, UCLA, and USC before flying back across the country to visit Ohio State. He was a First-Team All-State selection following a 2017 season where he caught 36 passes for 1,062 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Defensively, he finished with 33 tackles and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. He returned three of his seven kick returns for touchdowns as well.
On the field, Williams is dynamic with the football in his hands. His 29.5-yard-per-catch average isn’t just due to being faster than the defense and simply running by them. Many of his longest runs are screen passes and quick hitches that then requires him to maneuver through a defense.
Once he gets into the open field, there is no catching him.

Me: Probably just a bunch of bombs.

As you might expect, Williams is also an outstanding track athlete, running a 10.69 100M this year.
Ohio State will host Williams on an official visit next weekend, which is also OSU’s Friday Night Lights camp. He won’t be the only receiver making the trip, as St. Louis prospect Marcus Washington (No. 6 WR) and Austin, Texas prospect Elijah Higgins (No. 17) will be making official visits as well.
Five-star Texas receiver Garrett Wilson is the lone pass catcher committed to Ohio State currently, but that may be due for a change in the near future. According to the 247 Crystal Ball, the Buckeyes are favored to land both Williams and Washington, which would be some impressive alliteration with Garrett Wilson.
Currently there are seven predictions in for Jameson Williams. You can also check out his highlights below.
