West Charlotte High School (Charlotte, NC) small forward Patrick Williams was on the Ohio State campus Saturday for an unofficial visit. Williams is the No. 15 small forward and the No. 56 player in the 2019 class overall per the 247Sports Composite.
Williams (6-7 180) is currently holding offers from Ohio State, Arizona, Louisville, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Clemson, and others.
With experience running the point, Williams has perimeter skills and the ability to handle the basketball. He is also athletic enough to finish from underneath the rim.
The Buckeyes don’t have a lot of room in their 2019 class, which has head coach Chris Holtmann taking a measured approach to recruiting.
Ohio State has one player committed in the 2019 class in the form of 6-foot-9 forward Alonzo Gaffney out of Garfield Heights. Gaffney is the No. 27 player and the No. 7 small forward in the nation. He is also the top player in the state.
Well, he was the top player in the state. He is transferring to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire according to 247Sports.
As of this moment, the Buckeyes will have three spots available in the 2019 recruiting class.
And as far as Williams is concerned, he apparently had a pretty good visit.
