On Wednesday, Sports Illustrated released their Preseason All-American teams and Buckeye defensive end Nick Bosa was named to the First Team and cornerback Damon Arnette was named to the Second Team.

Bosa was a First-Team All-American last season as a sophomore per most outlets, while Arnette was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection by the media as a redshirt sophomore.

Bosa was the Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year last season following a year where he led the Buckeyes with 8.5 sacks and 16.0 tackles for loss despite splitting reps with five other defensive ends.

  1. interesting. This just shows how deep the Buckeyes are at CB as I am not convinced that Arnette is one of the top two cornerbacks on the team.

    1. I’m a little surprised Arnette is listed with how inconsistent he seems to have been..not even the top corner on the team imo…of course i am rooting for him to be this good!
