Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer took to Twitter on Friday to explain to many why he was actually suspended and how the investigative group found that it had nothing to do with turning a blind eye towards any domestic violence.
You can read Meyer’s complete statement below.

No matter what Meyer does or says. Urban haters will hate and The PC and Me Too movement will see him as guilty. Too many Americans live off the motto, “My mind is made up, don’t confuse me with the facts!”
Unnecessary statement by Meyer. He made some bad calls in this entire thing, and releasing something like this only adds to the string of bad decisions. Watching these alpha males struggling with the fact that they sometimes are held accountable for their actions, or the lack thereof, is just stultifying. You cannot look me in the face, and say that he didn’t lie at Media Days. You cannot look me in the eye, and say his discussion of erasing his phone isn’t highly suspicious. If this was any other coach out there, 99% of you would be calling for his resignation. No, he shouldn’t have been fired, but yes, he did not perform at the level we expect coming from tOSU.
I’m glad the ridiculous Trustee resigned. That’s the kind of idiot OSU doesn’t need as a Trustee. Also I had no idea that Drake was such a caricature. Good luck with that kind of leadership and values. They are interested in virtue signaling, not merit. They’re making an example of Urban as they’ve made clear. He did nothing wrong except not admit to wrongdoing that he didn’t commit and at most show favoritism toward Smith in even having him on staff in the first place and tolerating lack of job performance because of the Earle Bruce connection. Urban needs to take away Shelley’s cell phone and no more BFFs with his staffer’s troubled wives or using his connection to OSU for personal agendas. Take lessons from Anne Hayes, Jean Bruce, Helen Cooper and Mrs. Tressel and try to remember that nobody appointed them to anything and it’s best to stay out of the picture and keep their mouth shut aside from the occasional commencement speech or fund raiser. .
Truth doesn’t matter. The report came out. They could’ve read it but they didn’t because its not about truth. Its about fake out rage so people can feel morally superior and talk down to people.
The real “shiitee” will hit the fan during CS and ZS upcoming court whatever. President Drake is a complete and astronomical moron, wrapped up in his own self importance. What the H— qualifies him to be President of The Ohio State University, must have been the squirrel Trustee who was going to quit before this fiasco ever came out. Brett McMurphy and “BIG EARS” Finebaum will get theirs. Neither has the slightest clue about the game of football. My 7 year old Grandson JJ knows more about the game than both of those idiots combined.
I SAY SCREW ‘EM Buckeyes and kick ass and take names. Dont take the pedal off the gas. OH Forgot Tom Terrific, You arrogant jackass, You and your nutty wife are in this deeper than you know.
GO BUCKS!!!!!
The national media: “Our minds are made up. Don’t try to confuse us with the facts.” Sadly, from a national perspective – especially anyone with any reason for animosity toward Ohio State – this episode, regardless of how it ultimately works itself out on and off the field will forever be attached to Urban Meyer.
We still hear about old man Woody Hayes’s silly and frustrated punch of a young, fully equipped and protected Clemson defender in the 1979 bowl game. And that was nearly 40 years ago! The elephant we know as the national sports media never forgets.
Sure, we’d all like to know the real, everything-behind-the-scenes story. Just as I still would like to know the real what’s and why’s of Jim Tressel’s “grievous sins” that led to his ouster. But we’re unlikely to ever know them, unless long after his career is over, Urban chooses to write a tell-all book, which is very unlikely.
Huh? Are you actually defending Woody? Regardless of his accomplishments that act was indefensible.
“I have never been criticized for what I never said.”

1st. Urban Meyer didn’t do a SINGLE thing wrong in all of this whacked out “made for tv sound bytes” for the weaklings in the media and private life. It really is just that simple.
2nd. Courtney Smith is an attention hound who just wanted to start troubles because she couldn’t or wouldn’t take care of her man. Instead, hid in a bubble of PC tripe and played the victim (fake victim) card because she couldn’t and wouldn’t get her way.
3rd. Contrary to Ms. Bruce’s recent statement, Zack is a dirtball.. She, he (Zach) and others can say whatever they want, but, without Earle Bruce would never have been a Buckeye coach………..PERIOD. No discernible skills, a crap level disposition, and an all around weakling because he was and remains incapable of controlling the perversions that come into in his.
The likelihood that Zach beat his wife is somewhere between 0 – 1. The likelihood that Courtney will ever know how to tell the truth about ANYTHING is also 0 – 1. The likelihood that Urban lost his way in handling this……..exactly ZERO.
Welcome back coach Meyer, and please, shut down the idiotic rumors that this is your last season at Ohio State because of the Drake Franklin County Railroad system. The moron who said publicly that he was the vote wanting harsher punishment………….was already going to leave the BOT before this ever happened. So he fell on the sword to cover Drake’s uselessness. The initial reports that Drake was at odds over the BOT during the meeting, and lobbying for harsh punishments were and remain absolute fact.
True story.
Attention w h o r e, not hound. I’ve never heard of a dog acting like that. A female hound would be a b I t c h and that’s too good for Courtney Smith.
Hi
errr. Tweets.
As Judge Judy would say, “Be quiet, you’re winning!” Please, No. More. Texts.
Hear, hear. Quit explaining. Those of us who want to believe and who would also have cast our votes as did 19 Trustees are with you, but there will always be people who wanted a complete purge and would not be happy without having cast Ohio State into a pit and covering it.
