  1. Sorry Kurt, but this defense gave up 49 points to a 3-3 Purdue team, 31 to a mediocre Oregon State team, 28 to TCU. The O-line is also a problem, but the defense is a bigger one in my opinion.

  2. It’s the O line. Are they spending all practice on protecting a non running quarterback, and no time on run blocking. It’s not the running backs, it’s the line. Yes, D needs to improve…but it’s the O line and coaches.

  3. Buckeyes got SPANKED again by an unranked team!Wake up Urban and get some defensive coaches and O-line coaches that know what they are doing. This is becoming a yearly thing now getting thumped by an unranked team!

  4. Don’t blame the D that much. With under 2 in the first half, OSU gave up 7pts. to PUR. PUR first 28 points came from both 4th down conversion and OSU penalties that extended drives. The key issue is our non existent running game, or should I say run OL. Until the individual who doesn’t coach them, but associates or hangs out with them is removed, expect OSU to be playing in San Antionio late in December.

  5. I’m tired of hearing how the defense is “fixable”, because if it is, Schiano obviously doesn’t know how to fix it. He needs to go.
