OSU Players of Game and Champions Named vs. Indiana

Tuf Borland Ohio State Football Buckeyes

Ohio State has named the Players of the Game and the Champions following the Buckeyes’ 49-26 win over Indiana on Saturday.

For the first time this season, no Ohio State offensive linemen earned a Champion’s grade.

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was named the Offensive Player of the Game, and the Champions along with him were receivers Parris Campbell, Johnnie Dixon, K.J. Hill, Austin Mack, Terry McLaurin, and Binjimen Victor, and tight ends Rashod Berry and Luke Farrell.

This was the first time this season that running back J.K. Dobbins wasn’t named a Champion.

Hill and McLaurin are now the only Buckeyes on offense to grade out as Champions each week this season.

Defensively, the Player of the Game was linebacker Tuf Borland.

The Champions alongside Borland were defensive end Jonathon Cooper, defensive tackles Davon Hamilton and Dre’Mont Jones, linebacker Pete Werner, and safety Jordan Fuller.

Fuller has been named a Champion each week this season, save for the season opener, which he did not participate in.

This was the second week in a row for Hamilton.

  1. i heard on a radio show that certain starters or changes should be made. i have never played football, but i have played other sports. and though some players coming into a game may make an impact – keep in mind that , subs are bringing in fresh legs into the game. we do better in the 2nd half because we always get the best effort from other teams, but after the adrenaline rush wears off, the pushing and shoving takes it’s toll. we have deep, and should continue to use it.

  2. More buckeye leaf stickers to put on their helmets

  3. Dobbins didn’t make the list? How many RB’s can make one hand grabs on pass receptions?

  4. What a list of participation trophies.

    1. Don’t participation trophies go to the losers?

      1. Or to guys who ride the pine but are a member of a group.
