Michigan’s Karan Higdon Guarantees Win Over Ohio State

Michigan running back Karan Higdon guarantee

Any concerns whether the Ohio State football team would be inspired for its game against arch-rival Michigan have probably been answered.

Monday, Wolverine running back Karan Higdon followed in his coach’s footsteps and guaranteed a win over the Buckeyes this Saturday.

A reporter referenced the fact that then-Michigan quarterback Jim Harbaugh guaranteed a win over OSU in 1986, and asked if Higdon felt that way this year.

“Yeah, I do,” Higdon said. “That’s how I feel. I believe firmly in my brothers, and this team, and this coaching staff, and as a captain, I’ll take that stand. Why not?”

This isn’t the first dose of motivation the Buckeyes have gotten on Monday.

They also found out they were underdogs at home in The Game for the first time since 2004.

Higdon has had limited success against the Buckeyes in the past. He had three rushes for 5 yards in the 2016 game in Columbus, and 11 carries for 55 yards in the 2017 game in Ann Arbor.

Higdon, of course, has never been part of a team that has beaten Ohio State.

You can watch a couple different reporters’ video of Higdon’s guarantee below.

  1. Yeah, Mike “the Mouth” Hart did the same thing, 4 times. We know how that turned out.

  2. After watching Ohio State play all year I’m about ready to predict a _ichigan victory myself. Maybe playing touch in the spring game isn’t a good idea after all. I watched the Maryland game again and they played hard, much harder than we did. We actually had guys ducking tackles and blocks. Never thought I’d see the day

  3. This is really just stupid, and the fans bought into it. I remember the days when the xedia would go out and report news and not try to create news to fit their narrative. The kid was asked a direct question, and he was put on the spot to answer it, and he did. What was he supposed to say? NO? Now the xedia pundits are going around talking about how he ”guaranteed a win.” Sure, it’s bulletin board xaterial, but I really don’t think this is anything for either fan base to get worked up about. It’s just silly. It’s hardly trash talking on his part. This is really the xedia stirring the shit and not the Xichigan RB.

  4. Keep up that stupid comments, scUM. At least Glenn and Boston were excellent, not forgettable, middling hangers on.

  5. Cool…..2 mental retards from that clown show in less than a week providing cannon fodder from that low rent foreign academy of worthless scumbags.

  6. Good, that makes great bulletin board materials. In the lesson of David Boston, say nothing to encourage or bolster the other team.

    1. Terry Glenn made that mistake too. Now, unfortunately we all know the name Biakabutuka.
