CJ Jackson Out for Maryland Game With Shoulder Injury

Ohio State announced that senior point guard CJ Jackson will not play today against Maryland due to a shoulder injury.

Jackson’s status moving forward is day-to-day.

Jackson is scoring 12.5 points per game this season, starting 25 of the Buckeyes’ 26 games. He leads the team with 3.4 assists per game and 1.2 steals per game.

Without Jackson, head coach Chris Holtmann will rely on senior Keyshawn Woods and freshman Duane Washington.

Woods has started seven games this season, but prefers to come off of the bench. He is second on the team at 2.5 assists per game and is scoring 6.4 points per game.

Washington has started twice this season and is scoring 6.8 points per game. He is second on the team with 34 made three-point field goals.

Ohio State and Maryland tips off at 2:00 pm on ESPN.
