This is a big spring for the future of the Ohio State running backs.
Mike Weber is gone, on his way to the NFL Draft. J.K. Dobbins is looking to rebound from a sluggish sophomore season.
Demario McCall is now in the room full-time, Master Teague is poised to take a step forward as a redshirt freshman, and Marcus Crowley is trying to make a name for himself as well.
And that doesn’t even include talented 2019 recruit Steele Chambers, who will arrive in the summer.
Thursday, the running backs met with the media after their fourth practice of spring football.
Topics included Dobbins being asked to be treated like a freshman again, why McCall creates matchup problems for opposing teams, how much Teague has grown in the past year, and how thingare going for Crowley.
