Ohio state has offered Cincinnati La Salle kicker Jake Seibert. Seibert tweeted out the news Monday evening.

Seibert wasn’t sure the Buckeyes would offer, but landing a kicker in 2020 would allow them to redshirt that player while current OSU kicker Blake Haubeil plays out his fourth and final season.
Seibert (6-1 190) is the No. 1 kicker in the nation according to ChrisSailerKicking.com, which covers the kicking specialists of the recruiting world.
Here is Sailer’s scouting report on Seibert.
Jake is a special kicking talent. He is an amazing athlete with a big time leg and natural ability. He hits a great ball off the ground on field goal. He has 60+ yard range and gets excellent lift on his ball. His kickoffs are D1 ready right now. Jake drives the ball deep into the end zone with 4.0+ hang time. He is a competitor that thrives under pressure. The sky is the limit here. Jake is a fine young man with a great attitude and work ethic. Big things ahead for this Chris Sailer Kicking Kicker. Look for Jake to dominate this 2019 off season and pick up multiple D1 offers. Excellent prospect.
Seibert was previously offered by Michigan State and UCLA this month, which may have forced Ohio State’s hand if they were hoping to get him to walk-on initially.
Last season, Seibert made all six of his field goal attempts and hit 23-of-24 extra points.
With punter Drue Chrisman being a junior this coming season as well, it will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes go the same route and sign a punter so that he can redshirt for a year before being called to action. They may not be able to afford to sign two kicking specialists in the same class, however.
I love the forced smile on Coach Dantonio’s face, always liked him!
How can OSU not go by without offering this kid. He looks like something special to me. They should recruit him heavily until he accepts to play for THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL PROGRAM! GO GET”EM BUCKS!
