It didn’t start out the way Ohio State planned, but once the Buckeyes got rolling on Saturday, there was no stopping them.
The Buckeyes overcame an early 5-0 Miami lead to cruise to a 76-5 win.
OSU exploded for 42 points in the second quarter. It was the most points the team has scored in any quarter dating back to at least 1960.
Justin Fields accounted for six touchdowns, four passing and two on the ground.
A total of 13 different Buckeyes caught passes on the day, three quarterbacks threw touchdown passes, and six different running backs carried the ball.
It all added up to an easier-than-expected victory.
After the game, head coach Ryan Day, Justin Fields, Chase Young, Baron Browning, Chris Olave, Josh Myers, and Greg Mattison met with the media to discuss the win.
