WATCH: Buckeyes Review 73-14 Win Over Maryland

Ohio State football Zach Harrison

Another week, another massive blowout win for the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes.

This time it was Maryland on the receiving end of the beating, to the tune of a 73-14 final score.

The Buckeyes rolled up more than 700 yards of total offense in the win. Justin Fields threw for 200 yards, Chris Chugunov passed for more than 100, and four different running backs rushed for more than 75 yards.

After the game, there was a lot to talk about, including Chase Young’s absence, the young defensive linemen who stepped up to replace him, and the defense rebounding from a dreadful performance against the Terrapins a year earlier.

There was also talk about the Buckeyes’ decision to try an onside kick in the first quarter, and call timeouts and go after a punt just before halftime with a 42-0 lead.

  1. I think Tuf Borland has been playing very good football. Glad to see him back to getting air time after an outstanding game played. Bad scheme? Gone. Foot healed means he has his base back under him and he’s finishing plays in front of him.

The more I watch this years defense the more I’m convinced that Schiano intentionally set that 2018 defense up to fail.
