We’ve established that projecting football things in the summer is a good way to pass the time until the games begin (Examples here, here, here, and here). In addition, I’m not above thievery on this website. Brandon had a promising idea, predicting offensive stats, so I’m flat out stealing it and simply moving it to the other side of the ball.
Perhaps it’s having a player on the roster with my last name (I had it first) that’s gotten me into football names recently. Not to mention that same young man, Tuf Borland, has a first name sent down from the football gods (or his parents, Jeny and Kyle) specifically for a linebacker. Not everyone was blessed with a moniker like that.
I’ve mentioned it before, I like predicting stuff. It’s fun. Hit on a couple of guesses, ignore those that you whiffed on, and you’re feeling like a million bucks. We’re now in the dog days of summer, with nothing left but baseball to save us from absolute sports boredom. For me, that’s just not enough, and my brain is…

This impressive number spans four Ohio State head coaches, and is more than twice as many as Michigan has managed in the same time frame. That tidbit of information isn’t necessarily relevant to this write-up. However, passing up an easy dig at Michigan football isn’t something for which I’d forgive myself. Now, since I love…
According to 247Sports’ in-depth process for churning out player rankings, Ohio State has received commitments from a whopping 40 five-star recruits since 2000. Of that group, 13 are either on the current roster or committed to future classes (i.e. Garrett Wilson). This impressive number spans four Ohio State head…
Now, since I love lists, I’ve ranked those remaining 27 five-star recruits whose days as a Buckeye has passed. Many, like Nick Bosa, will appear on this same ranking in a matter of months, but with careers still being defined, I felt it was best to leave them off for now. This list, from least productive to most, only includes the…

247Sports.com is a website that utilizes “ratings and rankings of major media recruiting services” to form a composite index. According to their site, there are approximately 32 prospects in any given recruiting class that receive the honor of earning five out of five stars. The number of such outstanding athletes is chosen to…
Despite what your neighborhood Michigan fan friend said would happen, Urban Meyer is still coaching at The Ohio State University. This season marks his longest coaching stretch at any school, topping his 6-year stint at Florida. The 2018 season will be his seventh go-round as the head coach of the scarlet and gray.
Over the past four football seasons, we have witnessed many Ohio State football records fall. Joe Thomas Barrett IV entered the scene in 2014, saw the field for four consecutive seasons, and demolished the stat column. That’s what happens when you’re an intelligent, talented quarterback and lead an Urban Meyer offense for multiple years.
