Five-star Huntington, West Virginia (Huntington High School) offensive tackle Darnell Wright released his Top 10 on Thursday and the Buckeyes made the cut. Joining Ohio State in Wright’s top 10 were Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, Georgia, Miami, Penn State, Tennessee, and USC.

Wright, who took an unofficial visit to Ohio State last month, is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2019 class per the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 9 player overall.
Rivals has Wright ranked as their No. 1 offensive tackle and their No. 2 player overall. ESPN has him as their No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 5 player overall.
The Buckeyes currently have three offensive linemen committed in the 2019 recruiting class. The most recent is Georgia’s Harry Miller, who is the No. 2 center in the class.
Coincidentally, the first member of the 2019 class was Doug Nester, who is also a very highly-touted offensive lineman from Huntington, West Virginia. Nester, who plays for Huntington Valley, has been committed since August. He is the No. 2 offensive guard in the nation and the No. 65 player overall.
Wright has spoken in the past of his rivalry with Nester, but it is not expected to be a deciding factor in his decision.
Currently, the Buckeyes lead the way in Crystal Ball predictions, but only seven precincts have reported in.
In Wright’s highlights below, you will see a very athletic offensive lineman who moves well enough to play on the defensive line as well. A very talented pass blocker, he is also mobile enough to run block in space. And when he pulls, he brings size, speed, and the worst of intentions with him.
The Buckeyes are still looking for two or three more offensive linemen, and Wright is at the very top of the Ohio State board.
