Buckeye Weekly Podcast — How Many More Brendon Whites Are There?

Buckeye Weekly Ohio State Football Buckeyes Podcast

Welcome to the podcast formerly known as Accost the Field. Don’t worry, this is still the same podcast that you have come to know and tolerate.

In this episode of Buckeye Weekly, Tony Gerdeman and Tom Orr begin the show with Buckeye basketball talk. Ohio State opens their season Wednesday night and there’s already news on the hoops from with the departure of Micah Potter. The show then touches on recruiting and two football commitments the Buckeyes picked up in the last week. Then the fellas dive into OSU football. The good, the bad, and the rest. There is plenty to chew on and a handful of listener questions at the end.

Also, with the name change, it would help us out if you could rate the show and review it on iTunes. If you screencap your rating or review and DM or email Tony Gerdeman (@TonyGerdeman, tonygerdeman-at-gmail.com), once we get a certain number of submissions, we’ll randomly pick out a handful and send them a copy of The Thrillogy, which is the unbelievably-true story of Ohio State’s postseason run in 2014.

+ Six fumbles is pretty darn bad.

+ OSU tried to keep Nebraska in the game.

+ The Nebraska onside kick was either the best or worst thing.

+ Why has Ohio State continued to go with an aggressive defense?

One Response

  1. At a minimum we KNOW there are more Brandon Whites at Linebacker…as clearly two of our absolute worst players currently start at LB. It literally be impossible for Hilliard, Browning, Pope, Gant, Mitchell, Joned, and Booker to do any worse.

My guess is there are other Brandon Whites on the OL. Again, we have guys starting that the backups could not possibly perform worse than.

Lastly I fear there may be some Brandon Whites at WR. With the way Victor, McLaurin, and Hill played last Saturday it’s inconceivable that a few young guys didn’t get a shot.

Until this program goes with a model where starters play without job security and know they will be pulled for underperforming we can forget about being a National Title Contender
