It wasn’t exactly a work of art, but the Ohio State Buckeyes are now 9-1 on the season.
OSU held Michigan State’s offense in check for 60 minutes in a 26-6 win.
For the first time in months, the Buckeye defense turned in a truly dominating performance, limiting the Spartans to 3.0 yards per rush and 4.2 yards per play overall.
Defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones recovered a fumble in the end zone in the second half, his second touchdown of the season.
Running back Mike Weber rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown in a return to his home state.
But the star of the game might have been punter Drue Chrisman, who pinned the Spartans inside their own 6 yard line on five consecutive drives in the second half.
In an unlikely twist, Chrisman was interviewed on the field on national TV following the game.
You can watch the postgame interviews in their entirety below.

I hear you Kurt. Glad we have one more game before Michigan. Michigan State on defense is very good. Feeling much better this week then last. I hope all of you enjoy the win 9-1.
This is the first time OSU fans can feel good about OSU since maybe the TCU game. While there’s a lot to belly ache about there’s a lot more to feel good about. Joel Klatt said it best and it probably burned in fans of TSUN. If this team can continue to run, it’s going to be tough team to beat. The question is how much more will OSU improve? That may be the defining question when TSUN comes to Columbus in 14 days, in the mean time, all will have to dissect that score of 26-6. Go OSU!
