Watch: Receivers Making Plays Early for Buckeyes

One of the fun things about Ohio State opening camp is that they also release some entertaining clips of the action.

With practice Nos. 1 and 2 in the books now, a little bit of action has been had.

In the videos below, you’ll see a pair of young wide receivers looking like veterans.

The first video features action from day one, including some clips of Ryan Day’s message to the team.

“We’re going to play with speed, we’re gonna play with passion. We have a lot to prove here,” Day can be heard saying.

One of the mantras for camp this month seems to be “Fight to the End,” which is also a lyric from The Buckeye Battle Cry. The hashtag #FTTE is also prominent.

In the first video, it’s not just the receivers making plays, as some defenders made their respective presences known.

But don’t overlook the one-handed grab by redshirt freshman H-back Jaelen Gill off of a pass that may have even been tipped.

The second video features junior defensive end voicing his displeasure at being held by offensive linemen and imploring them to block for a change.

This third video might be the one that makes you smile most, or it may anger you the most considering it involves senior cornerback Damon Arnette.

In the video, sophomore quarterback throws a pinpoint pass into the outstretched hands of freshman receiver Garrett Wilson. Arnette appeared to have possibly gotten a finger on it.

But hey, at least the corners are now looking back for the ball.

In the final video, sophomore wideout Chris Olave shows that he’s not just a guy who makes noise in the clear.

That’s sophomore Sevyn Banks in coverage. He did a nice job of recovering from a stumble, but got bested when the ball arrived.
