We’re back to our weekly fall podcast schedule, which obviously means that the college football season is imminent. We don’t have an Ohio State game this week but it is the first college football week of the 2019 season, so we’re here to get things started with part one of our preseason prep.
Chip and I will get more in depth with the Buckeyes next week but for now we give you our Ohio State sleeper picks on both sides of the football. We discuss Ohio State naming Justin Fields the starter (finally) and what might have been for both Tate Martell and Matthew Baldwin, with the former losing the starting quarterback battle at Miami and the latter not eligible to play in 2019 at TCU. The Buckeyes named their captains as well and we break down those selections for you.
We break down the Big Ten West race a bit to see who might make it to Indianapolis, discuss the B1G Eastern Division “big four” teams a little, and discuss what Ohio State has to do in 2019 to make it a successful season.
Next week we’ll rank the conference’s Eastern Division teams, talk about the depth chart, and go game-by-game through the OSU schedule as we get you ready for the 2019 Buckeyes.
