The Ohio State football team held its first scrimmage of 2019 fall camp on Saturday.
With the opening game against Florida Atlantic now just three weeks away, it was an important milestone for the Buckeyes.
The media was able to watch the first 30 or so minutes of practice, but that was just stretching and individual drills.
The scrimmage itself was off-limits. That meant Ryan Day’s post-scrimmage press conference was the first real chance to learn what happened out on the field.
Day met with the media after the scrimmage to discuss what he saw from his team.
Is he any closer to naming a starting quarterback for the 2019 Buckeyes?
How is the battle for starting jobs along the offensive line shaping up?
How is the new-look defense adjusting to both the scheme and personnel changes?
Those topics, and many others were covered Saturday morning.
