Cameron Brown came to Ohio State from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He was ranked the No. 54 receiver in the nation and the No. 323 player overall. Brown signed with Ohio State over offers from Alabama, Nebraska, Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Duke, and Ball State. At some point between signing….
Ohio State returns Damon Arnette and Jeff Okudah, who were both in the rotation with Sheffield last year. The common theory is that the rotation will continue if possible. The first name that comes to mind when thinking about continuing the rotation is redshirt sophomore Shaun Wade. Wade was the team’s nickel back…
On Wednesday, linebacker K’Vaughan Pope and cornerback Cameron Brown became the latest Ohio State freshmen to have their black stripes removed. Defensive coordinator Greg Schiano said on Monday that he wasn’t sure how much any of his freshman linebackers would play this season, but all three now have their black stripes removed.
As everyone knows, Ohio State does not redshirt players. (Except for when they do, of course.) Despite that steadfast rule, players still end up redshirting somehow, and they will also redshirt this year as well. No year is the same when it comes to how many freshmen redshirt. The intention is always to get as much out…
Why did I rank the wide receivers as an area of low concern? Look at the group of players returning. They are bundant with redshirt seniors and juniors. The wide receivers come into 2018 with experience across the board. Looking at Ohio State’s 2017 season statistics, the only player with at least 10 receptions who will…
Today is the final day for college football’s underclassmen to declare for the NFL, and as long as nothing changes, the same group of Buckeye receivers who practiced during bowl prep will also be practicing during spring camp. In other words, the entire band is back together and they’re currently in the studio working on a new album for this fall.
St. Louis wide receiver Cameron Brown signed with Ohio State on Wednesday after spending months as a Nebraska verbal commit. After he received his OSU offer in June, he decommited from the Huskers and many thought it was just a matter of time before he was a Buckeye. Brown ended up recommitting to Nebraska two months later…
Here is the thing about trying to point out five “Instant Impact” signees from Ohio State’s 2018 recruiting class — there is talented depth in front of each of them, and I think most of them could benefit greatly from a redshirt season. So we should probably dial back what we mean by “instant impact.” For this class — which is arguably…
Four-star St. Louis wide receiver Cameron Brown signed with Ohio State on Wednesday. He had been committed to Nebraska. Brown (6-1 175), who is a teammate of fellow wide receiver signee Kamryn Babb at Christian Brothers College, camped at Ohio State this past summer and earned an offer. Following the offer, he decommitted…
On Friday, St. Louis (Christian Brothers College) wide receiver Cameron Brown came to Ohio State with the hopes of earning a Buckeye offer. After an impressive performance in front of the OSU coaches, an offer was extended. One day later, Brown decommitted from Nebraska and reopened his recruitment.
