As evidenced by his first-round draft status a couple of weeks ago, former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins has an “NFL arm.” In fact, he may have the strongest arm in Buckeye history, though Cardale Jones would have something to say about that. But, as Yoda once said, “There is another.” This past winter, Justin Fields arrived, and with…
Ohio State began spring camp with a quarterback competition between sophomore Justin Fields and redshirt freshman Matthew Baldwin. Now, however…not so much. Doing a spring recap of the Buckeye quarterbacks from this past spring is kind of like being tasked to write about how great the harvest on Alderaan was…
Herding cats has nothing on trying to keep a quarterback room full. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has seen a flurry of quarterback activity in his nearly two-and-a-half years at Ohio State. During his introductory press conference a year ago, new (and now former) safeties coach…
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is once again a victim of his own success, and while it may make things a little uncomfortable for a while, it’s better than having a head coach who is constantly a victim of his own failures. With redshirt freshman quarterback Matthew Baldwin announcing his intention to transfer from Ohio State, the OSU…
Matthew Baldwin’s possible transfer could mean it’s time for a big change in Ohio State quarterback recruiting strategies.
The Buckeyes have gone through winter workouts and now spring football has come and gone, but this is only the beginning. Work rarely stops inside the walls of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, and that is certainly the case for the Ohio State quarterbacks. Sophomore Justin Fields and redshirt freshman Matthew Baldwin are attempting…
