Two more Buckeyes are now without their black stripes, as freshman wide receiver Trevon Grimes and walk-on freshman running back Mitch Rossi officially joined the club.
Grimes was a 5-star prospect out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida who missed the majority of his senior season with an ACL tear.
Ohio State has worked him back slowly in camp, but over the last 10 days or so he has seemingly taken off.
Grimes still managed 15 receptions for 274 yards last season before being lost during the third game of the season.
Rossi becomes the first walk-on to have his black stripe removed this year.
An all-state running back at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tennessee, Rossi joined the team this summer.
He rushed for over 1,200 yards as a senior and also tallied 77 tackles as Franklin’s middle linebacker.
