Wins are great, but man is this year’s undefeated Ohio State team winning in ways that are making the Buckeye fan base want to rampage. With a 7-0 team after a 30-14 win over Minnesota, all the discussions seem to be about the poor running game, the broken defense, and the lack of any kind of ideas on the coaching staff’s part to fix anything.
Ohio State offensive tackles haven’t been a topic we’ve talked about much but you’ll get a heavy dose of it in this episode. But hey, we’re here to break down the Minnesota game details and talk about the good as well as the bad. We do probably spend an inordinate amount of time discussing slant passes and possible ways to defend them, and then we turn our attention to the Purdue Boilermakers, who have both Chip and myself nervous enough to affect our final score predictions. Maybe the emergence of Blake Haubeil will be the difference this weekend.
Dwayne Haskins and K.J. Hill doing Dwayne Haskins and K.J. Hill things is always enjoyable, but hopefully they’ll get a bit more help this weekend in West Lafayette from the defense, everyone involved in the running game, and a creative game plan that can exploit the Purdue weaknesses. Hope is all we have, which is a weird thing to say about an undefeated team, but here we are.
