WATCH: Buckeyes Talk Nick Bosa’s Departure, Preview Purdue

Ohio State football interviews WHAC

There’s a lot to talk about around the Ohio State football program these days.

Star defensive end Nick Bosa announced Tuesday that he plans to withdraw from Ohio State, bringing his Buckeye career to an end.

The OSU defense is facing serious questions about whether it can stand up to Purdue’s offense.

The Buckeye running game is a mess right now, finishing with less than three yards per carry against Minnesota.

Oh, and quarterback Dwayne Haskins is on pace to break virtually every single-season passing record in the Ohio State record book.

So, yeah. There’s a lot to talk about around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center these days.

You can watch those interviews in their entirety below.

  1. We’ll probably never know what the docs told Nick Tuesday morning. For all we know he may have been told there is a significant probability of re-injury if he returned this season, and that would certainly have cost him millions, maybe even ended his career. I wish him all the best.
As far as the defense goes, I think we know now the triumvirate of Ash, Fickell, and Coombs was far superior to what we have today. Thank goodness Johnson is still here. Our only real hope is outstanding performance by the D-line.

  2. the rest of the buckeyes should dedicate this season to bosa. he is a fallen soldier who if he wasn’t hurt would be there with them. remember him when you take the field- we leave no MAN behind.

  3. Just once I want to see and hear bill davis do an interview so I at least know who in the hell he is. Never heard or seen him speak ever. Haskins better throw for 500 Saturday night and 6 TDs and that might not be enough. Even the 2011 and 2012 defenses didnt get gashed every game like this unit does and those were two of the worst defenses I can remember. I just dont get it given the talent we supposedly recruit.

  4. I really hate coach speak. This defense is a freaking shit show and dumpster fire combined (shit fire). Just call it as it is. We are not very good and we are not getting any better and the balance of the year is gonna be tougher then it should be. This is a 2 loss team if not worse.

  5. A wounded team is dangerous. Remember what happened to the Eagles after they lost Wentz.

  6. Listening to Schiano talk about the defense is hilarious….I have a strong feeling that “schematically” we are gonna get out schemed Saturday night…These coaches are like addicts, they just can’t admit they have a problem…they talk like all is good, and merely a few adjustments then all is well…after week 7….all is not well….I really think he don’t know what the F… to do to fix the inability of covering receivers in press coverage…Hint: up tight, knock “bump”receiver off route at line of scrimmage. leverage to sideline….Hint; Teach LBs to be disciplined in gap assignments, no rogue players here….Hint: Don’t lose end contain……we stunt everyone to middle constantly, leaving contain exposed…Hint: Base pre snap alignment, don’t have all LBs already at line of scrimmage in gaps to get caught unable to read and react to the ball…Hint: coach safeties how to read angles…Hint: Teach these kids how to tackle….. other than that as per Schiano “not playing too bad”……How about getting an ATTITUDE on defense…Not everyone can be the toughest, but damn sure can act like you are……maybe , just maybe, you may become tough in the process……

  7. Good business move, wish him the best, bye, next man up.
