The season continues to fly by at supersonic speeds, even if certain games plod by like the mascot of Ohio State’s next opponent. Ohio State’s 26-6 win at Michigan State wasn’t a beauty contest but I think it’s gorgeous to get a 100-yard rusher against the country’s top run defense and regardless of how inept the Spartans were on offense, holding a team out of the end zone is still quite an accomplishment, especially on the road.
We’re here to break down the Buckeyes’ trip to East Lansing and discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly that we saw on display Saturday. Ohio State ran the ball and stopped the run. The Buckeyes didn’t give up tons of explosion plays. The defense came up with turnovers. In short, it was delightful.
We talk a bit about Dwayne Haskins’ performance in recent weeks, whether or not he’s still trending as a guy likely to declare for the NFL Draft after the season, and what it would mean for the OSU quarterback pipeline if he returns.
Finally, we get ready for Maryland and discuss how the Terrapins have some attributes that could create difficulty for Ohio State. We also give you our final score predictions but we urge you not to sell all your belongings and run off to Vegas with them in mind.
