On Friday, Ohio State wrestling coach Tom Ryan tweeted an announcement that Anthony Echemendia will officially become a Buckeye in May. Echemendia was supposed to enroll at OSU in January but there were some reported difficulties in the enrollment process. Those difficulties have apparently been resolved.
No.3 Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0) vs. No. 15 Pittsburgh Panthers (1-0) Preview. The Wrestling Bucks head to the Steel City this Friday for their first road dual of the season. Pittsburgh looked impressive in their first dual against Campbell, winning 8/10 matches on their way to a 28-6 victory. Ohio State wrestled Stanford on Sunday November 10th, winning 29-6.
The Ohio State Wrestling team will have two members representing Team USA at the U23 Freestyle World Championships for the second year in a row. Last year, Myles Martin and Kollin Moore advanced, this year, Chase Singletary and incoming freshman Greg Kerkvliet will represent the Buckeyes at the U23 World Team Championships.

Let’s start off by recapping the end of the season for the Ohio State Wrestling team. After a successful season, Ohio State had a rough ending by going 0-3 in National Title matches. Joey McKenna (141) lost in OT on a very questionable takedown. Head coach Tom Ryan was very disappointed in the call, stating it cost McKenna a national title.
