“Knee surgery” are two words that athletes never want to hear. Especially one week before the Big Ten Championship Game. That was Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett’s fate, however. After re-aggravating a season-long meniscus injury in the Michigan game, the decision was made to perform arthroscopic surgery…
Since its implementation in 2014, the Buckeyes have lived on the verge of making the College Football Playoffs. Last year, Ohio State made it in without winning — or even playing for — their conference championship. This year, the Buckeyes went ahead and won the Big Ten, but fell short of making the playoffs.
One year ago, Ohio State was in Arizona preparing for Clemson in a semifinal matchup in the College Football Playoff. At that same time, prominent college football players Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey were choosing to skip their teams’ respective bowl games to focus on the NFL Draft. At the time, the…
Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has been cleared to play according to head coach Urban Meyer, but that doesn’t mean he is going to play. After withstanding a first quarter that saw the Buckeyes trailing 14-0, and negative yardage in…
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Ohio State defeated Michigan 31-20 in Michigan Stadium Saturday afternoon in a game that both gave hope to Michigan fans and also ripped it out of their still beating hearts. After the game, Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer and a number of players spoke with the media. Meyer had plenty to say.
Ohio State is currently sporting the second-best passing offense in school history, throwing for an average of 293.6 yards per game. It’s just 4.4 yards short of the 298 yards per game that Joe Germaine was responsible for in 1998. The Buckeyes beat Michigan 31-16 that season, for what it’s worth. The OSU passing game has dipped…
