A redshirt sophomore, Wade has found a home as OSU’s slot corner in their three-cornerback starting lineup. He is as capable of handling a quick, slot receiver as he is a big, pass-catching tight end, which he showed last week against Penn State. Redshirt sophomore cornerback Shaun Wade has emerged as one of Ohio State’s top defensive playmakers this season. This has not come as a surprise to most, as when Wade flashed last season, it was clear that he had the potential to make a name for himself at Ohio State. Wade was a five-star recruit in 2017 from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida.
