This is going to be an opportunity for the Ohio State defense to play against some very good offensive personnel, but not so good that they make the Buckeyes look bad. Similarly, the Terps aren’t pushovers on defense, but the Ohio State offense should still be able to do what they want if they fight hard enough to do it.
Third-string quarterbacks are generally not the recipe for success, at least statistically speaking. Maryland doesn’t have much say in the matter right now, however, as they have now turned to their third-string quarterback Max Bortenschlager. Bortenschlager has played extensively in two games this season, so he does have some experience.
Ohio State (4-1) comes into their game against Maryland (3-1) as 31-point favorites, which seems like a lot. The Terps have road wins over Texas and Minnesota, and have done that with two different quarterbacks. Getting a third road win this week, however, will be the tallest order of the season for Maryland.
I am just one person. One human male. Nothing to write home about. When it comes to predictions, however, I am one of the best in the world that I am aware of. And plenty of people write home about me. Kids who are off to college whose only means of contact with a parent is through the U.S. Mail frequently write their loved…
The upstart Maryland Terrapins enter the Horseshoe Saturday at 3-1 on the season after out-rowing the Gophers last weekend en route to a 31-24 victory. The Terps are led by a rushing attack that is churning out an average of 233 yards per game, good enough for 24th nationally. As injuries have forced Maryland to start their…

Grant would be a strong advocate for as much advanced scouting of the enemy as possible before a battle was engaged. While I have the utmost confidence in Urban Meyer and his strong staff of assistants…
Following Ohio State football practice Wednesday evening, head coach Urban Meyer spoke with the media. He provided updates on his team and also previewed the Buckeyes’ upcoming opponent, Maryland. Here are the highlights.
For most of us, the only turtles we are familiar with wear various colors of cloth over their eyes, master a martial art, and eat a lot of pizza. But since DJ Durkin left AA and took over at Maryland, he is bent on changing that for the rest of the Big Ten. This week, the Sons of Schmidt take a look at the upcoming…
Ohio State left three contributors home last week when the Buckeyes traveled to Rutgers, and those same three players are absent from this week’s depth chart. OSU hosts Maryland this week and it looks like they will again be without the services of defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones, safety Erick Smith, and running back Antonio Williams.
Ohio State and Maryland take the field against each other this Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm on FOX. In advance of the matchup, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer provided some updates on his Buckeyes football team on Tuesday’s Big Ten coaches teleconference. Here are the highlights.
