Jarrett (6-0 182) is the No. 9 receiver in the 2020 class and the No. 45 player overall in the nation per the 247Sports Composite.
Ohio State extended an offer last week. The offer came one day after Jarrett tweeted out that he did not have an OSU offer.
In his highlights, which you can see below, he is reminiscent of current Buckeye receiver Johnnie Dixon. Jarrett plays bigger than his size and displays strong hands. There is nothing wasted in his actions after the catch.
Ohio State is still in the hunt for several other 2020 receivers as well, including 5-star Pennsylvania prospect Julian Fleming. Fleming recently included the Buckeyes in his latest cut down.
Another prospect for Buckeye fans to watch is 3-star Michigan receiver Devell Washington. Washington (6-4 200) holds offers from Michigan and Ohio State, with OSU’s offer coming a couple of days after Friday Night Lights.
Ohio State has also offered slot receiver/running back Michael Drennen. Drennen plays for Dublin Coffman, which is just a few miles away from the OSU campus.
The Buckeyes do not yet have any receivers in the 2020 recruiting class, but it is just a matter of time until that changes.
With five precincts reporting, here is what Jarrett’s Crystal Ball looks like.
