Statistical Projection: Ohio State vs. Michigan State
Holy moly, Ohio State! Though my offensive statistical projections for the Buckeyes were pretty close last week, I wasn’t ready for the defense to continue crushing souls quite like they did. I hadn’t been impressed with the Huskers’ defense, so I figured that a Ryan Day offense would cut through it like butter. But the Silver Bullets truly turned heads last weekend.

Master Teague Making Impact as Buckeyes’ Backup Running Back
One of the most-pressing concerns for Ohio State head coach Ryan Day heading into this season was finding a running back who could help carry the load with junior starter JK Dobbins. Battling through injuries in fall camp and therefore lacking practice reps, redshirt freshman running back Master Teague was on the outside looking in for that job — at least until the games got underway.

Three Things To Watch For From The Nebraska Cornhuskers
In the game many Ohio State fans — including this one — anticipated as being one of the biggest challenges for the Buckeyes in 2019, Ohio State travels to Lincoln, Nebraska, to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. At 3-1, the Cornhuskers believe that this is the type of game that will help put their program back into the national conversation.

Statistical Projection: Ohio State at Nebraska
So if you’ll recall from last week’s statistical recap, I thought that OSU would score a lot of points (56, to be exact). Ryan Day and company thought that was hilarious and tacked on an extra 20 for good measure. I predicted that Justin Fields would throw for 213 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, and rush for another score. He had the audacity to toss in an extra ten yards passing and an additional…

The Grumpy Old Buckeye: Ohio State vs. Miami (OH)

Three Things To Watch For From The Miami RedHawks
The Miami RedHawks have a tradition of occasionally pulling off upsets against superior opponents. 1986, the then-Miami Redskins upset eighth-ranked LSU in Baton Rouge, 21-12, en route to an eventual MAC Championship. 1995, Miami traveled to Evanston, Illinois, and upset eventual Big Ten champion Northwestern in week two, 30-28.

Statistical Projection: Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Miami (OH) RedHawks
Not a lot of sense wasting time on last week’s statistical recap. I was accurate on a couple of predictions, but undervalued the offense and it showed in the overall yardage. When you rush for over seven yards per carry and better than 300 yards, overshooting the passing yardage is possible. I did just that. I hit on another Justin…

Silver Bullets Podcast — Indiana Rewind, B1G Roundup, and Miami Preview
The Buckeyes are undefeated in conference play after going to Indiana and playing with their food against the Hoosiers. Ohio State dominated in all phases of the game in an outing that, while not perfect, was darn impressive for a team still building chemistry around a first-year starting quarterback. We break down the good, the more good, the great…

Statistical Projection: Ohio State Buckeyes at Indiana Hoosiers
I was close on some aspects of this game but like many people I thought it would be much closer than it was. Read: I thought Cincinnati might score some actual points. But, I’m not complaining. Justin Fields made me look smart last Saturday, which is a rare feat and one that I’m eternally grateful for. My prediction for him was 20 completions for 238 yards…
