I normally start off each weekly post with a quick recap of the previous week. I’ll still give a brief list of where I was right and wrong with regards to my Purdue predictions. I will, however, opt out of the game summary. It may be Halloween, but I still don’t have the heart to scare you with a thorough recap of that mess.
Well *takes deep breath* it happened again. My statistical projections were impacted when OSU played down to its competition and was unable to separate from the Golden Gophers until late in the game. For a majority of the contest, Minnesota was within a score of Ohio State, even leading for several minutes in the second quarter.
Wins are great, but man is this year’s undefeated Ohio State team winning in ways that are making the Buckeye fan base want to rampage. COLUMBUS — Over the last two seasons, Ohio State junior H-back K.J. Hill has been known as the receiver with the best hands among the Buckeye receivers. He clearly showcased that on Saturday when he made a one-handed catch for a touchdown that put OSU ahead of Minnesota in the second quarter.
The Buckeyes were unable to overcome a case of the Hoosiers last weekend. Sure, the good guys topped them by 23, but, as usual, it was an ugly affair. The same will not happen this weekend. The Buckeyes posted their second quality win of the year and stayed undefeated with a dramatic 27-26 victory over Penn State on Saturday night. As we all predicted, Urban’s first game from the sideline was a one-sided affair. Ohio State came out fast and strong against Tulane, boosting stats and scoring 42 points in the first half without appearing to break much of a sweat. Once a comfortable lead was established, the Buckeyes essentially took a foot off the gas.
